 All of our tutors are seasoned educators with subject-specific degrees and accredited teacher qualifications. They maintain up-to-date DBS checks and receive ongoing safeguarding training. Our team of experienced teachers has previously served in various significant roles, including positions in the Senior Leadership Team, Department Head, Year Head, and Scholarships Head. 

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic educator with over two decades of experience. My passion for teaching and commitment to academic excellence led me to establish Invent the Compass, a small dedicated business aimed at providing students with expert guidance from subject specialists. 

I bring extensive experience as an educator specialising in the sciences. In my most recent tenure, I held prominent roles as Head of Chemistry, Head of Scholarships, and Head of Year at a renowned independent school. Furthermore, I have served as an examiner for prominent examination boards, including AQA, EDEXCEL, and OCR. In addition to this, I've actively contributed to the enhancement of science curriculum content through my work with CGP books.

My educational background is anchored by a teaching degree from the esteemed Kings College London, where I had the privilege of representing my fellow students as a course representative. During my time at the University of Liverpool, where I pursued my degree in Oceanography with Chemistry, I enthusiastically participated in the student tutoring program. Notably, both Kings College London and the University of Liverpool are distinguished members of the Russell Group of universities.

My previous experience has included being the lead in initial teaching  training, senior leadership team, specialist in special needs support, year achievement coordinator and lead for Science education. 

I have a love for Lego and was selected for the last 100 for the great British bake off as seen on TV.
